Jasey Applauds Colleges for Taking Action to Prevent Spread of Coronavirus on Campuses

(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Mila Jasey (D-Essex, Morris), chair of the Assembly Higher Education Committee, released the following statement on recent action by New Jersey’s institutions of higher education to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on college campuses:

“I commend our colleges and universities in New Jersey for exercising an abundance of caution in making decisions in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Many have opted to extend spring break or switch to online or remote learning over the next few weeks. These steps are intended to protect the health of students, staff and administrators while simultaneously allowing education to continue.

“I’m confident universities will continue to monitor the outbreak and make appropriate decisions in the best interest of their campus communities.”
