Jay Webber Calls For Additional Debates

Jay Webber Agrees to Additional Debates

Whippany, NJ – Jay Webber is eager for the exchange of ideas that will result from a full and robust debate schedule. Unfortunately, that schedule can only be executed if both candidates agree to debate.

“Mikie Sherrill is working to mislead voters to believe she is open to debate, but in reality, she is doing everything she can to avoid scheduling and finalizing a robust schedule,” said campaign spokesperson Ronica Cleary. “Voters will never see the extreme liberal views behind Mikie’s campaign if she won’t answer questions on a wide variety of topics. Jay has agreed to seven debates, but only three are scheduled because we are patiently waiting for Mikie’s team to agree. Mikie has also worked to keep the abysmal number of debates scheduled to a limited window in time, which would likely lessen coverage and call less attention to her remarks.”

Cleary continued, “Mikie should answer the call to debate Jay in multiple forums over multiple weeks. If she is proud of the agenda she hopes to bring to Washington she should have nothing to hide. Jay has agreed to additional debates with Chasing News, News 12 New Jersey and NorthJersey.com and we urge Mikie to accept those promptly. Jay has also called on Mikie to participate in an immigration-focused debate.”
