Jenny Mundell Sworn in as Mayor of Bloomfield Township

Bloomfield, NJ – This evening, Jenny Mundell was officially sworn in as Mayor of Bloomfield Township following the certification of the special election results by the Essex County Clerk’s Office. Mayor Mundell assumes leadership with a commitment to serving the residents of Bloomfield and building on its legacy of progress.

“I am deeply honored to take on the role of Mayor of Bloomfield Township,” said Mayor Mundell. “This community is my home, and I am filled with pride and determination as I begin this journey. Together, we will continue to make Bloomfield a place where families thrive, businesses succeed, and diversity is celebrated.”

Mayor Mundell was sworn in following a special election to complete the term originally won by former Mayor Michael Venezia, who is now serving as a member of the New Jersey State Assembly.

Additionally, Monica Charris Tabares was sworn in this evening as an At-Large Council member.

On November 26th at 5:30 there will be a Ceremonial Swearing-in the Council Chambers, open to the public.
