Jersey 1st Announces New Executive Director

Former North Jersey Chamber Executive Focuses on Advocating for NJ Businesses and Taxpayers 

PARSIPPANY — Jersey 1st, a non-profit grassroots organization founded with the mission of educating, informing, and advocating for hardworking New Jerseyans, announced today that Brian Tangora is the organization’s new Executive Director. Before joining Jersey 1st, Brian was the President & CEO of the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce, where he oversaw the complete re-branding of the over 100-year-old business organization.

“Having led the North Jersey Chamber, Brian knows firsthand the policy issues that impact the diverse businesses and families in our local communities,” said Jersey 1st President and Founder Rosemary Becchi.  “At a time when New Jersey is facing a number of economic challenges at the state and federal level, Brian is an ideal fit to help Jersey 1st fulfill our mission of informing, educating, and advocating for economic and social policies that are in the best interests of New Jersey families and businesses.”

Brian brings to Jersey 1st over 20 years of experience working within the nonprofit, private, and public sectors where he specializes in cultivating strategic partnerships with influential leaders to expand alliances, enhance brand awareness, and develop new business relationships. He also directed the revamping of the public sector department for a prominent technology company resulting in a 333% increase in market penetration and served as a consultant on numerous school and state municipality projects.

Brian graduated summa cum laude from DeVry University with a BS in Management, Sales & Marketing. He was honored as the school’s first New Jersey recipient of its Alumni Rising Star Award for early career success.  Brian lives in Totowa, NJ, and is happily married to his wife Stephanie.
