Jersey City Fire Department Lights the Night for Fallen Firefighters

 

 

What:                As part of the national campaign, Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters, the Jersey City Fire Department will light all apparatus in each of the city’s 17 firehouses in red for 119 seconds this Saturday night to pay tribute to the 119 firefighters who died in the line of duty nationwide this past year while serving their community.  After the 119 seconds, JCFD dispatch will then commence the evening with the apparatus radio test where the names of all 55 Jersey City firefighters who died in the line of duty will be read over the air.
