Jersey City Police Officers, Firefighters and Council members Bring Awareness to Fighting Hunger on Help Bag Hunger Day

 

What:             Councilwomen Mira Prinz-Arey and Denise Ridley, alongside Jersey City Police Officers and Firefighters, will bag groceries at the ShopRite of Jersey City on “Help Bag Hunger Day.” The Jersey City officials will take on the job of a cashier and help bag groceries, all in an effort to raise awareness about the issue of hunger in our community during National Hunger Action month.  Customers will also be asked to round up their purchases as donations to help fill the shelves of local food banks.
