Jersey First: Candidates Asked to Sign “The Jersey First Pledge”

Candidates Asked to Sign “The Jersey First Pledge

Lower Taxes, Cap State Spending, Open for Business

Millburn, New Jersey –  Rosemary Becchi, President of Jersey First, today released ‘The Jersey First Pledge’. The Pledge, which can be signed by public officials, candidates, business leaders, community leaders, and New Jersey citizens, highlights the strong desire of New Jerseyans to lower taxes and reduce state spending. The Pledge also allows voters to see which candidates truly embrace and support sound economic principles.

Jersey First was created to stand up for all New Jersey citizens and advocate for smart economic policies that are consistent with our core mission – to reduce taxes, cap state spending, and enact policies to attract and grow jobs. ‘The Jersey First Pledge’ is our first step in working to join with brave leaders who are willing to stand with us and give over-taxed New Jersey citizens the voice they need to fight for the economic reforms they desperately need,” said Becchi.

Becchi continued, “It is important for citizens to identify candidates who support making New Jersey affordable to live and work in again. With Election Day fast approaching, we felt it was important for voters to have a chance to ask candidates for office, from town council up to U.S. Senate, if they would sign this pledge, and see for themselves where candidates stand. We intend to make the list of individuals who have signed the pledge, public, for the citizens of New Jersey to view prior to voting in November,” said Becchi.
