Jersey Renews Urges the Passage of S2252/A4829

With A Day of Action for Electric Vehicles

On Monday, November 25, Jersey Renews is hosting a lobby day to urge legislators to pass the electric vehicle bill S2252/A4819. With nearly 50% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from the transportation sector, a majority coming from light-duty vehicles like the standard family car, passing this bill is foundational to New Jersey’s electrification work.

This day of action will promote a just transition to an electrified transit system emphasizing access to electric vehicles and infrastructure, improving public transit, and ensuring good-family sustaining jobs. Speakers from labor, environment, and faith communities will discuss the need to electrify buses and other public transport.
