JIAMPETTI ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR COUNTY CLERK

First Female Mayor in Egg Harbor City Would be First Female County Clerk in 25 Years

(EGG HARBOR CITY) Egg Harbor City Mayor Lisa Jiampetti, Ed.D., today announced her candidacy for Atlantic County Clerk.

“I am extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished in Egg Harbor City,” said Mayor Jiampetti. “From revitalizing the Egg Harbor City Lake, adding new schools, businesses, and housing, to enhancing recreation and strengthening our community, we’ve made Egg Harbor City a better place to live and raise a family. Now, I look forward to using the knowledge and skills I’ve learned as mayor and applying them to the County Clerk’s Office to serve the residents of Atlantic County.”

Jiampetti is currently serving her third term as mayor. Prior to her mayorship, she previously served as a City Councilwoman for six years. Jiampetti also held the position of after-school programs coordinator/director at the Egg Harbor City Community School and Charles L. Spragg School.

Jiampetti recently obtained a doctorate in organizational leadership from Stockton University. She and her husband Michael, a New Jersey State Trooper, have three adult children: Ryan, Michael, and Matthew.

“Family is the most important thing to me, and I’m blessed to have such a loving family that has supported me during my entire career,” said Jiampetti.

Jiampetti earned the recommendation of the Atlantic County Democratic Committee’s Candidate Recruitment Committee. She will be competing for the endorsement of the 46th Annual Atlantic County Democratic Convention on Sunday, March 21.
