Jim McGreevey: A thank you and invitation

Dear Friends,

Thank you over these many past years for your friendship, advocacy, and support of our clients. It has been a privilege to serve our clients as they courageously transform their lives.

For the past five years, I have had the honor of working with Jersey City Employment and Training Program (JCETP). We rebuilt was to become “Martin’s Place,” developed and strengthened the template of the NJRC reentry model, and worked to provide housing, medical and behavioral (mental health and addiction treatment) services, legal/identification assistance, and training and employment through rigorous case management.

With our dedicated professional team, largely of the most amazing women, our clients have achieved tremendous results.

Our operation is professional, ethical, and competent. We are passionate about what we do and we work hard to fulfill our mission.

Despite our clients’ successes, tomorrow night, Monday, I anticipate being terminated from Jersey City employment. They have given me inconsistent and conflicting reasons for this abrupt decision. You are welcome to join with me tomorrow from 6 to 8 pm at 398 MLK Drive, Jersey City.

Regardless of the outcome, my service at JCETP has been personally fulfilling, as we serve our Jersey City clients, many of whom reside in the same local neighborhood of my parents and grandparents.

We are committed to remain in Jersey City; if not at Martin’s Place, then at another location.

And, thanks to you for being part of our journey and for caring for the persons we are privileged to serve.

Gratefully,

Jim
