Jimenez Urges Colleagues to Pass the FY 2018 Budget

(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D-Bergen/Hudson) voiced her support for the FY 2018 budget currently pending in the Assembly and urged her colleagues to put other distractions aside right now:

“It’s truly disturbing to see games being played like this at the 11th hour.  This is a progressive budget that we should all be proud to support as Democrats.  Anyone who would sacrifice these priorities to abet the Governor’s final bullying act needs to reassess their values.  If this is something that people truly feel strongly about on a policy level, then let’s have that discussion after we tackle what should be our number one priority right now – passing a budget so that we don’t interrupt the lives of millions of New Jerseyans.”
