Johnson, Haider, Park Issue Joint Statement on Ceasefire Agreement
Englewood, NJ – Senator Gordon Johnson, Assemblywoman Shama Haider and Assemblywoman Ellen Park issued the following statement today on the announcement that Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire agreement:
“Today, 15 months after the tragic terrorist attack of October 7, we are grateful for a ceasefire agreement that will guarantee the release of hostages. We are anxiously awaiting the safe return of Edan Alexander of Tenafly.
“This agreement will also ensure humanitarian aid to be delivered and we are hopeful that this agreement will help create a lasting, permanent peace and stability in the region, including removing Hamas from power.
“We stand with everyone who wishes to see an end to this conflict. This is a critical opportunity to create a better future for all Israeli and Palestinian families.”
