Joint Committee on the Public Schools to Examine Standardized Testing in NJ

(TRENTON) – The Joint Committee on the Public Schools will hold a hearing on Tuesday to discuss the efficacy, validity and practicality of statewide standardized assessments with emphasis upon their use as a graduation requirement.

The committee includes Assembly Democrats Mila Jasey (D-Essex, Morris), who serves as co-chair; Ralph Caputo (D-Essex); Patricia Egan Jones (D-Camden, Gloucester); and Benjie Wimberly (D-Bergen, Passiac).

The hearing will be held Tuesday, May 14 at 9:30 a.m. in Committee Room 16 of the State House Annex. A live audio feed can be found at njleg.state.nj.us.
