Jon Bramnick Fails to Reject Parker Space’s Hate Speech

Lacey Rzeszowski, Democratic Candidate for NJ Assembly, Calls for Unity

Summit, N.J. —  Democratic Assembly candidate Lacey Rzeszowski has made a statement demanding that Republican Assembly Minority Leader Jon Bramnick (R-Union) publicly reject the hate speech of Assemblyman Parker Space (R-Sussex).  Space was caught on tape repeatedly calling his female opponent a “bitch.”  Just weeks ago, Space also made headlines by posing in front of a Confederate Flag.

Bramnick has, up until now, refused to publicly repudiate this behavior and ask for a public apology from Space.  When asked for comment, he dodged the question, saying he would “let Sussex County voters decide.”

Rzeszowski is issuing the following statement in response:

“We look to our elected officials for leadership in times of moral outrage.  We demand that they hold their peers accountable for behavior that is unfitting of public office.  Jon Bramnick could not stand up to Chris Christie.  Now he can’t be trusted to stand up to a misogynist like Parker Space.  He once again puts his own political interests ahead of the women of New Jersey.”
