June 14th, 2018 Eatontown, NJ – Josh Welle, Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress (NJ-04) will be going for 24 straight hours from Friday, June 15 through Saturday, June 16, crisscrossing New Jersey’s 4th District, which stretches from the Jersey Shore to Hamilton, and from Middletown to Manchester.

Welle will be broadcasting live on Facebook (facebook.com/joshwellenj), meeting with residents, attending community events, and taking questions from viewers about any issue they would like to discuss. Anyone who would like to come out and join Welle in person during the listening marathon tour is encouraged to do so.

Welle, speaking on the significance of running continuous 24-hour local engagement said, “Chris Smith hasn’t held a town hall in 24 years. I’ll be up 24 hours listening to the concerns of our district because Smith stays silent on the issues that matter in the 21st-century. I’m a new generation leader ready to serve all the residents of NJ-04.”

Welle won the Democratic Primary on June 5th and is running to unseat Rep. Chris Smith, 37-year Republican incumbent. Past coverage suggests that Smith’s absence from the District has been largely due to his residency in northern Virginia where he has raised his family.

The 24-hour Listening Tour will start and end in front of Rep. Chris Smith’s office in Freehold at 2pm on Friday and Saturday. The itinerary is posted below for the tour:
