Newark, NJ ~ Jury Awards $848,000 to NJ Transit employee after determining that she was discriminated against when she was passed over for promotions and then retaliated against her when she complained. Ophelia Adderley, was awarded $848,000 after a jury ruled NJ Transit discriminated against her on the basis of age and race after failing to promote her to positions that she applied to and was qualified for. Attorney Raymond L. Hamlin tried the case for Ms. Adderley.
