| It’s day one of his campaign and Tom Kean Jr. is already facing turbulence. His campaign launch has been criticized by allies for featuring extremist and Trump enabler GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy. The other featured guest, GOP gubernatorial nominee Jack Ciattarelli, made headlines yesterday for saying he would roll back policies requiring schools to teach accurate information about the LGBTQ community and people with disabilities.
Now, it seems Kean Jr. doesn’t want anyone to know he’s kicking off with McCarthy and Ciattarelli. This morning, Politico New Jersey is reporting Kean is keeping his launch closed to the media. This tracks with Kean’s long history of hiding from the press.
