Keith Ellison Endorses Mussab Ali for Jersey City Mayor

Jersey City, NJ – Today, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison endorsed Jersey City Mayoral candidate Mussab Ali at a virtual press conference today. The event was centered around the rollout of Ali’s public safety plan, which is a core policy proposal for Ali’s campaign. Some key components of the policy platform are:

  • Ensuring Transparency in Law Enforcement
  • Mental Health and Crisis Intervention
  • Revamp the 911 Dispatch System
  • Gun Violence Prevention
  • Reforming the Justice System

Ali made the following statement: Attorney General Ellison has been a national leader on issues that are critically important to cities like Jersey City. I am honored to have his support and am eager to work in partnership with him as mayor.

Mussab Ali is the former JC BOE President, education non-profit founder, and cancer survivor. The son of immigrants, Mussab was raised and educated in Jersey City. A graduate of McNair, Rutgers, Tsinghua, and Harvard Law, Mussab founded the Ali Leadership Institute to equip activists, organizers, and community leaders with the necessary skills for effective civic participation at the local level.
