KIVVIT TAKES SILVER FOR REACH NJ CAMPAIGN AT “BULLDOG AWARDS”

ASBURY PARK – Kivvit today announced that the Reach NJ campaign was honored last week by the “Bulldog Awards” with a silver medal for “Best Government/Public Service Campaign.” The Bulldog Awards celebrate the best and brightest in corporate communications and public relations.  They are the only PR awards program judged exclusively by journalists.

“Kivvit is incredibly proud of our work on the Reach NJ campaign,” said Managing Partner Maggie Moran. “We are appreciative of the numerous awards the campaign has won, but it has never been about that kind of recognition. Kivvit strove to make an impact on the lives of those who are struggling with addiction.  That kind of real world impact is what always has and always will drive our work.”

Reach NJ was a public awareness campaign dedicated to reducing the stigma of addiction, increasing access to help, and educating New Jersey residents on the dangers of opioid and heroin addiction. It sought to provide information and access to services for those suffering from addiction as well as their family members, and provide information on what opioids are and the dangers they present.

In addition to the “Bulldog Awards”, Kivvit has won several other awards for the Reach NJ campaign.  The Reach NJ ad entitled “Mother’s Day” won the Reed Awards’ Best TV Ad For a Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Campaign.  That ad can be viewed here.  The AVA Digital Awards also honored Kivvit for two Reach NJ ads. The ad “What is an Opioid,” narrated by Dr. James Baird of Kennedy University Hospital, received a Platinum Award and the ad “Ambulance” received a Gold Award.  “What is an Opioid” can be viewed here and “Ambulance” can be viewed here.

The “Bulldog Awards” also recognized Kivvit for its work in New York. New Yorkers Against Corruption – a coalition of more than one hundred and fifty organizations that advocated against a statewide ballot initiative for a Constitutional Convention or “Con Con” – won a silver medal for “Best Public Affairs Campaign.”

The DSM “Change the World” campaign – which won a gold medal for “Best Sustainability Campaign” – highlighted the work in the United States by this multinational life sciences and material sciences company. The campaign demonstrated that their commitment to sustainability runs through the company’s business strategy, product offerings and R&D efforts. This helped move DSM from #42 to #2 on Fortune’s “Change the World” list, a ranking of companies with the most impactful social responsibility initiatives.

Kivvit helped organize Anheuser-Busch’s first-ever congressional brewing competition.  The event, which took place last November 8, invited nine members of Congress to brew their own specialty beers for their colleagues and staff, which were then judged by an influential panel of DC insiders, members of the media and professional brew-masters. The event received substantial coverage in the immediate D.C. area and won a bronze medal for “Best Special Event or Public Stunt.”
