KREIBICH DEBATES GOTTHEIMER; SLAMS HIM FOR VOTING FOR THE GOP’S PRO-TRUMP AGENDA OVER 200 TIMES

Hackettstown, NJ – This morning, candidate for Congress Dr. Arati Kreibich joined WRNJ for a debate against her primary opponent, conservative Rep. Josh Gottheimer. Arati forcefully laid out her progressive agenda in the debate and she struck a clear contrast with her opponent, who yet again refused to support health care for all and stood by his record of taking millions of campaign contributions from Wall Street and Corporate PACs. Here are Dr. Arati Kreibich’s key highlights:

• “My opponent thinks that the way to keep this seat is to appease the Republicans. He has voted with Republicans more than 200 times in his tenure.”
• “Our congressman has been prioritizing the needs of Trump and Wall Street instead of our Democratic values.”

Arati released the following statement after the debate: “This debate showcased two clearly different paths forward for NJ-5. Josh Gottheimer’s pro-Trump record doesn’t stand up to scrutiny, and I’m proud to have stood tall for our Real Democratic values today. I’ve also called for two additional debates, because NJ-5 voters deserve to hear more from their candidates for Congress.”
