LABORERS UNION ENDORSES CRYAN

RE-ELECTION EFFORT

EAST BRUNSWICK – Laborers’ International Union of North America Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager Raymond M. Pocino released the following statement today endorsing Senator Joseph Cryan’s campaign for re-election in advance of June 8th’s Democratic Primary.

“Joe Cryan has always been a strong advocate for the men and women of LiUNA and he has our full support in his upcoming election,” said Pocino.  “Joe is as good as his word and he has always come through when it’s time to do the hard work required to make sure we are continuing to strengthen our economy and grow the middle class.  Like so many people everywhere, the pandemic has been extremely difficult for many of our members and their families, but Joe has made it a priority to try and ensure we are getting back to work safely.”

Cryan thanked Pocino and LiUNA for their endorsement and vowed to continue fighting to create jobs and build communities.

“I was raised to understand the value of a strong union and that strength is exemplified in the leadership of Ray Pocino and the Laborers’ International Union of North America,” said Cryan.  “In the midst of this global crisis it has been critically important to make sure working men and women have the ability to provide for their families in a safe environment.  We will keep fighting to protect workers while we create new jobs that help build our communities and provide a good wage.”
