Lamb and Fossa Issue Four-Point Plan for Election Integrity

Toms River, NJ – America First Republican Commissioner candidates Ashley Lamb and Sergio Fossa today announced a five-point plan to enhance and ensure election security in Ocean County.

“There is nothing more important in our Republic than protecting the rule of law and ensuring the integrity of our elections,” Lamb said.  “Under our leadership, we will ensure that Ocean County elections are the safest elections in America.”

Lamb and Fossa said their plan will encompass the entire election process from start to finish and that they will not accept excuses that only the governor or the state legislature can enhance election security in Ocean County.

“The greatest student of our American system, Alexis de Tocqueville, pointed out that there are breakwaters in American civic life designed to stop the consolidation of power or administrative tyranny,” Fossa said.  “But our local governments are failing in exactly that capacity.  It’s time for Ocean County Commissioners to govern Ocean County and protect the integrity of our elections no matter what Phil Murphy or the leftwing legislature says.”

The America First Election Security plan outlined by Lamb and Fossa is as follows:

– Clean voter rolls — No one who is dead, who has moved, who is domiciled outside of Ocean County, or who votes in another county or state should be included on the Ocean County voter rolls.

– Voter ID for everyone — Everyone who casts a vote should show valid ID.

– Elimination of Ballot Drop-boxes — All ballot drop-boxes should be eliminated.  We were able to conduct successful elections without them for two centuries and we can still conduct fair and accessible elections without them or the security risks they pose.

– A ban on Zuck Bucks — Tech oligarchs like Mark Zuckerburg and liberal billionaires like George Soros should never be allowed to influence the outcome of our elections by pouring private money into Democrat efforts to turn out Democrat votes.

Lamb said that she would lead the Ocean County Board of Commissioners in requiring that the Ocean County Clerk and the Ocean County Board of Elections implement these policies immediately.

“The people of Ocean County want free, fair, secure, and certain elections,” Lamb said.  “If the Clerk and the Board of Elections balk in any way at implementing these policies, they will be defunded in our next budget.”

Fossa agreed, saying it’s critical that County Commissioners be willing to exercise the power of the purse to ensure safe and secure elections.

“The true outcome of a recent election in Brick is still uncertain almost two years after the fact,” Fossa said.  “It’s an utter travesty and it’s all because our local elected officials are too willing to comply with unjust mandates.  Ashley and I will never ‘comply’ if it’s not in the interest of Ocean County and Ocean County residents.”
