Lampitt on Second Round of Preschool Expansion Aid for New Jersey School Districts
(TRENTON) – In response to today’s announcement from Governor Phil Murphy of an additional $27 million in Preschool Education Expansion Aid (PEEA) funding for 33 school districts in New Jersey, Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt released the following statement:
“There’s no greater investment than an investment in education,” said Lampitt (D-Burlington, Camden), chair of the Assembly Education Committee. “This second round of funding for school districts to expand and improve preschool education programs will directly benefit young learners across the state, including three in my home district; Maple Shade in Burlington County and Collingswood and Oaklyn in Camden County. High quality preschool programs better prepare children for the wide ranging academic and social challenges they will face in school. By giving our students this critical head start, we can help boost their appetite for learning at a young age and equip them for success in school.”
