Lance: Gateway Tunnel Funds Among Wins in Spending Bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today announced the U.S. House of Representatives has passed the required government funding measures by the end of the fiscal year. The package includes start-up funds for the Gateway Tunnel among other Lance priorities.
“Under the leadership of Appropriations Committee Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen, the House of Representatives kept its promise to the American people to return to normal budgeting and pass the required spending bills by the end of the fiscal year. Important priorities include a bipartisan victory for Gateway Tunnel funding and securing the continuation of the COPS law enforcement grant program. The U.S. Senate should now complete its work on the appropriations process so that the two Houses of Congress can reach a final agreement to send to the President for his signature.”
