Lance Statement on Iran
Lance Statement on Iran
WASHINGTON. D.C. — Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07), co-chair of the Republican Israel Caucus, released the following statement after the President’s announcement regarding the Iran Deal:
“The 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action negotiated by the Obama Administration was a deeply flawed agreement. It was defeated in the House and would have been defeated in the Senate if it had been permitted to come up for a vote. President Trump says he’s willing to consider a new nuclear deal – one that ensures all paths to a nuclear Iran are blocked. I share this objective and call on the Administration and our European allies to come together to the table and craft a new, stronger Iranian nuclear agreement that will receive majority support on Capitol Hill.”
