Larry Wainstein Responds To Team Sacco Statement On BOE Lawsuit

Larry Wainstein released the following statement in response to this morning’s statement by Team Sacco:

NORTH BERGEN, NJ –Sacco’s plan is to pour tens of millions of dollars into an outdated building on one of the most dangerous highways in the country.  The current proposal is not only bad for North Bergen, it is dangerous to the children of North Bergen who have to walk and commute too a school on Tonnelle Avenue.

Under the cloak of darkness, Sacco held an election in the middle of December to approve $60 million in school bonds.  That same month NBC News reported what we’ve known all along.  Sacco stacks the North Bergen Board of Education with family members and campaign contributors in high paying  jobs. Sacco’s son and his wife make over $200,000 a year at the BOE.  Sacco exploits our children to benefit his own family and inner circle.  He isn’t a public servant.  He’s Al Capone with an elected office.  It’s our town, it’s our time and we need someone who will stand up for us.
