Latina Civic PAC Announces Endorsement of Jeanette Rios,  Candidate for Perth Amboy City Council  

 

Trenton – October 24, 2022 – New Jersey’s leading organization in increasing Latina representation in government and politics, Latina Civic Political Action Committee (Latina Civic PAC) proudly announces the endorsement of Jeanette Rios, candidate for councilwoman in the City of Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

 

“Jeanette Rios is a longtime advocate for positive change in her Perth Amboy community,” stated Laura Matos, chair of Latina Civic PAC. “Her knowledge, experience, and community roots are exactly what is needed in the City.”

Jeanette Rios, part of the Vote for a Better Tomorrow campaign, has served as vice president of the Perth Amboy Democratic Party for two years and has dedicated over 13 years of public service to the City of Perth Amboy, including as an executive member of the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District (BID).

“Promoting women candidates is our mission, and we take great pride in endorsing and supporting the many Latinas working to improve their communities throughout the State of New Jersey. Once elected or appointed, they count on our continued support,” said Noemi Velazquez, chair of the endorsement committee for Latina Civic PAC.
