LATINO LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE OF NEW JERSEY ENDORSES MAYOR DON GUARDIAN

LATINO LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE OF NEW JERSEY ENDORSES MAYOR DON GUARDIAN AND RON BAILEY, STACEY KAMMERMAN AND PAUL TONACCI FOR CITY COUNCIL

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (September 19, 2017) – Dr. Maria Teresa Montilla, President of the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey (LLANJ), officially endorsed Mayor Don Guardian and his running mates Ron Bailey, Stacey Kammerman and Paul Tonacci, on behalf of the organization at the Campaign Headquarters on Monday, September 18, 2017.

“We endorsed Mayor Guardian four years ago in his first race for Mayor and he proved us right,” said Dr. Montilla. “He has steered Atlantic City in the right direction and remained committed to continued progress. He is what Atlantic City needs.”

The LLANJ is the largest and only statewide non-partisan, non-profit organization composed of local, regional and state community-based organizations, leaders and professionals advocating for the socio-economic and political development of Latino-diverse communities. The only other candidate the organization is endorsing for the November 7th elections is a gubernatorial candidate.

“I’m grateful for the endorsement from the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey,” said Mayor Don Guardian. “The Latino community is vital to Atlantic City so having their support is an encouragement to my running mates and I in this campaign.”

Mayor Guardian is a strong advocate for the Latino community. Throughout his four years in office he has offered community celebrations, recognized numerous Latino organizations and established a program with the Mexican Consulate to keep families together during difficult times.

In Atlantic City, Hispanics/Latinos consist of 33% of the city’s population. To ensure the representation they deserve in City government, Mayor Guardian’s election slate includes two

City Council candidates with bilingual skills. Stacey Kammerman speaks fluent Spanish, and Paul Tonacci, who was born in Chile and also speaks fluent Spanish.
