Latino Organizations Announce the Endorsement of
Luis Quintana for Councilman At-Large of Newark
Newark, NJ-The Political Action Committee of the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey (LLA-PAC) and the National Dominican American Council (NDAC) announced today April 22, 2018, their official endorsement of Luis Quintana for City Council Candidate At-Large for Newark, NJ.
Dr. Maria Teresa Montilla, President of the Latino Leadership Alliance said:
“The Political Action Committee of LLANJ only endorses candidates who are committed to work with the Latino Leadership Alliance on issues impacting New Jersey diverse communities. We do not support or endorse candidates based on their party affiliation, ethnicity, gender, nationality or religious beliefs, but rather on issues, on trust, and their track records showing they are indeed doing their best for the people they have represented or would like to represent. We also take into serious consideration their record in promoting and bringing fairness, respect and inclusion in all areas of government and in the pursue of socio- economic and political endeavors beneficial to Latinos and diverse communities.”
She added, “the Newark Councilman embodies what we stand for as leaders who fight for the same thing: the socio-economic and political empowerment of Latinos and our diverse communities. When we Latinos hear the name of Luis Quintana, we think of inclusion, diversity, trust, and a relentless commitment to fairness and equality. For these and other reasons, the Political Action Committee of the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey throws its support behind Luis Quintana for City Council at-Large in the emblematic city of Newark.”
The President of the National Dominican American Council, Leodany Inojosa, also expressed the official position of the Political Action Committee of the Latino Leadership Alliance to endorse Quintana for Newark City Councilmember At-Large:
“We conducted research about him, perused his track record in politics and community leadership, and concluded he deserves our official endorsement for his bid for reelection for Councilmember at-Large in the upcoming May 8th municipal election. Kudos to Luis Quintana for his exemplary commitment to public service and unwavering determination to do good to others and to fight for equity in our local communities.”
Nestor Montilla, Sr., Chairman of the National Dominican American Council, just said about Councilman Quintana: “Lo bueno no se cambia.”
