Latino Victory Fund Endorses Rob Menendez for Re-Election to Congress in 2024
WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Latino Victory Fund (LVF) proudly announced their support for Congressman Rob Menendez’s re-election campaign.
“Congressman Rob Menendez has time and again demonstrated his commitment to working families in his district,” said Latino Victory Fund President and CEO Sindy M. Benavides. “He has championed legislation in support of organized labor, prioritizing future-forward infrastructure, addressing climate change, protecting reproductive choice, and creating a high quality of life for all. He serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, where he has advocated for greater access to mass transit for all 8th District residents via the development of the Gateway Program, the most important infrastructure project in the country, for which he helped secure $6.9 billion from the U.S. Department of Transportation – the largest-ever mass transit grant in American history. He has consistently fought Republicans’ hard-right narrative and advocated for the most vulnerable among us, which is why Latino Victory is proud to endorse him.”
“I am deeply grateful to be endorsed for re-election by Latino Victory Fund,” said Congressman Rob Menendez. “I am also proud to serve our majority-minority district as a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus’ largest-ever freshman class. As New Jersey’s only Latino in the U.S. House of Representatives, I understand that it is critical to have leadership that reflects the breadth and diversity of our district. With the help of incredible organizations like LVF, we will secure re-election and work to continuously increase our Latino representation in DC.”
LFV is dedicated to building political power in the Latino community so that the voices and values of Latinos are reflected at every level of government and in the policies that drive our country forward. Their vision is marked by a substantial increase in progressive Latino elected leaders (such as Congressman Rob Menendez), Latino voter participation, and Latino political donations – making Latino voters a deciding factor in elections up and down the ballot, throughout the country.
