LD 10 Democrats Selected for Moms Demand Action Designation

BRICK, NJ (Sept. 9, 2019)—Eileen Della Volle and Erin Wheeler, the Democratic candidates for New Jersey State Assembly in the 10th Legislative District, have been selected for the 2019 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate Distinction.

The Distinction recognizes that a candidate stands for gun safety and is committed to governing with gun safety in mind if elected.

“We are very proud and grateful to live in New Jersey, which has some of the toughest gun safety laws and regulations in the county, and where our state government continues to work to protect our residents from gun violence,” said Eileen Della Volle. “It is a great honor to earn this designation from Moms Demand Action, especially as we close out a summer that saw so much tragedy from gun violence. As a legislator, we will work to keep New Jersey at the forefront of gun safety,” Della Volle said.

“As a public school teacher, I am particularly cognizant that New Jersey is committed to preventing the gun violence that has brought so much devastation to students, schools and families across the country,” said Erin Wheeler. “When one in six Americans support common sense gun safety and Washington does nothing, the role of state government to protect its citizens is crucial. I am extremely grateful to receive this honor from Moms Demand Action and will be committed to the goals of common sense gun safety if elected,” Wheeler said.
