LD-24 Candidates Kate Matteson and Gina Trish Endorse Mikie Sherrill for Congress

Fairfield, NJ — Today Kate Matteson and Gina Trish announced their endorsement of Mikie Sherrill for U.S. Congress. Matteson and Trish ran as the Democratic candidates for Legislative District 24 in the 2017 election.

“I proudly support Mikie Sherrill for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District,” said Kate Matteson. “Ms. Sherrill’s service to her country as a Navy helicopter pilot, as well as her work as a federal prosecutor makes her a career public servant who has always put her country first. As a State Assembly candidate in 2017, I personally witnessed Mikie Sherrill build her grassroots campaign from the ground up. It was clear from the beginning that she had a deep commitment to the entire district, including the residents of Sussex County where she has visited frequently. Ms. Sherrill is the grassroots, non-establishment candidate who can reach across party lines to bring together a diverse political spectrum, and she has a proven track record of getting the job done. New Jersey’s 24th Legislative District includes the Sussex County municipalities within the 11th congressional district: Byram, Ogdensburg, Hopatcong, Sparta, and Stanhope.
