LD16 Democrats Release Statement Following Attack on Israel

Hillsborough, NJ – Following ongoing terrorist attacks and violence in Israel, Assemblyman Roy Freiman made the following statement on behalf of the LD16 Democratic team of Senator Andrew Zwicker, Assemblyman Roy Freiman, and Assembly Candidate Mitchelle Drulis:

“During World War II, when the Jews in Europe were facing annihilation, non-Jews stood in solidarity with them and declared, ‘Today I am a Jew.’

“After the terrorist attack on 9/11, people throughout the world stood up and said, ‘today I am an American.’

“This morning, after Israel was attacked by the terrorist organization of Hamas, I stand up and declare, ‘I have been a Jew my entire life, but today, I am also an Israeli.’

“We unequivocally condemn and mourn the loss of life and the families suffering from this attack, and stand in solidarity with Israel, and the countless Israeli-Americans who call New Jersey home.”
