LD26 Assembly Candidate Christine Clarke Receives Endorsement of SOMA Action
Jefferson Twp., NJ: 26th Legislative District State Assembly candidate Christine Clarke has received the endorsement of SOMA Action, winning support of 90% of its voting members.
SOMA Action is an active group of 1,100 New Jersey residents committed to social and environmental justice, a healthy nation and planet and a transparent accountable government. They promote dignity, rights and welfare of the community, earth and society, and stand in solidarity with other groups working toward these goals.
“We look forward not only in helping to flip this district, but also to elect two outstanding candidates who are unbought and unbossed, who are serious about putting the interests of their constituents first, and whose positions reflect the mission of SOMA Action,” the organization said in a statement.
“It’s been a privilege working side-by-side on so many public wellness actions over the last few years, and knowing my friends in activism have my back in this State Assembly campaign means the world,” said Clarke. “I look forward to being an accessible, accountable representative working for the common good.”
Christine Clarke is an environmental advocate, a grassroots organizer and mother-of-four. She is running for State Assembly to advance clean energy jobs, protect clean air and water, improve healthcare, and legislate with empathy and fiscal responsibility.
“SOMA Action’s endorsement reflects a theme that we are increasingly hearing as we knock on doors – people in the 26th district want a representative that is accessible and works with community members to make our corner of New Jersey a healthy, vibrant strong economy. Christine has been working tirelessly to do this,” said Benjamin Weisman, Campaign Manager for Clarke for Assembly.
