LEADING POLITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATION LAUDS NEW CLIMATE REPORT
TRENTON – The following is a statement from Henry Gajda, Policy Director of New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, on the 2020 New Jersey Scientific Report on Climate Change.
“The 2020 New Jersey Scientific Report on Climate Change, which includes the most up-to-date scientific research, is a reminder of what is at stake for all New Jerseyans, especially our most vulnerable in environmental justice communities,” said Henry Gajda, Policy Director, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. “The impacts of climate change are widespread and will be ingrained in every facet of our lives. At a time when President Trump promotes an irresponsible deregulatory fossil-fueled agenda in DC, we are grateful for the leadership of Governor Murphy and legislative leaders for their actions, including the landmark Clean Energy Act, updated Global Warming Response Act and other administrative action.”
The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is a non-partisan organization whose mission is to elect environmental champions, hold public officials accountable, and support laws that protect our environment and improve the quality of people’s lives.
