LG Oliver Calls on Trenton Councilwoman Vaughn to Resign
The following statement regarding the hateful remarks made by Trenton Councilwoman Robin Vaughn can be attributed to Lt. Governor Oliver:
“I’m deeply troubled by the offensive remarks made by Trenton Councilwoman Robin Vaughn. Her explosive behavior was completely unacceptable and not how elected officials should be conducting themselves. Ms. Vaughn should apologize immediately for the homophobic and derogatory comments she directed at Mayor Gusciora and the other council members and officials and resign from her position as West Ward councilwoman.
Governor Murphy and I will not tolerate hateful and disruptive behavior from public officials. There is no place for such hate and bigotry in our state and local governments. The people of Trenton deserve better.”
