LG Oliver endorses Will Sampson for Assembly in LD 31

 

Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver endorsed William Sampson, the Democratic candidate in the Legislative District 31 race.    William B. Sampson, is crane operator and the Political Liaison for the International Longshoreman’s Association Local 1588. He serves as Vice President of the Hudson County Chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute, an organization of Black Trade Unionists to fight for Racial Equality and Economic Justice. Sampson is a graduate of Bayonne High and attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

“William Sampson is a proven fighter who understands the challenges facing working families,” said Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver. “William’s strong roots in organized labor and passion for his community will serve as a tremendous asset in the State House. I’m honored to endorse his candidacy in the 31st Legislative District,” said Oliver.

 

Sampson said “I’m proud to be endorsed by Lieutenant Governor Oliver. She is a mentor and a role model for me and anyone who wants to live a life dedicated to public service.”
