Lillian Nazzaro named new County Administrator by Executive Hughes
First female at the helm in Mercer County
TRENTON—Lillian Nazzaro, Deputy Administrator, has been named Mercer County Administrator, following the retirement of Andrew J. Mair, County Executive Brian M. Hughes announced today. Ms. Nazzaro is the first woman in the history of Mercer County to serve in this key leadership role.
“Lilly’s intelligence, work ethic and integrity, along with her governmental experience and leadership capability, make her an ideal fit for the position of County Administrator,” Mr. Hughes said. “I believe she’ll do an outstanding job for my administration and for the people of Mercer County.”
Ms. Nazzaro, an attorney, was Mercer’s Deputy County Counsel for 15 years and successfully litigated a range of cases for the county. As Deputy Administrator, Ms. Nazzaro helped direct the operation of county government. As Administrator, among her duties will be contract negotiations and oversight over all county departments.
Ms. Nazzaro earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University and Juris Doctor degree from University of Dayton Law School. She resides with her family in Hopewell Township.
