Linden Mayor Derek Armstead sent a letter to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito asking for an investigation into business dealings between Parktowne Associates, which is owned by Union County Manager Ed Oatman and Union County Democratic Committee Executive Director Nick Fixmer, and various campaigns and publicly funded interests.

Linden Mayor Derek Armstead Hosts Meet & Greet For Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Sean Spiller 

Elizabeth, New Jersey – Last night at the American Legion Hall in Linden, Mayor Derek Armstead hosted a Meet & Greet with Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Sean Spiller and political activists from Linden, Roselle, Union Township and Springfield.

At the event former State Senator and former Democratic State Chairman Ray Lesniak who has endorsed Spiller for Governor told the gathering that Spiller is the type of person who listens to the needs of New Jersey residents and who will work tirelessly on their behalf.

“Sean and I have had many discussions about the causes I have championed in the Legislature, environmental protection, women’s rights, animal welfare, economic security, LGBTQ Rights, and social justice. Sean Spiller is a natural leader who cares about issues important to New Jersey and will put the residents of New Jersey first,” said Lesniak.

Spiller, former Mayor of Montclair and current President of the New Jersey Education Association, spoke of the importance of the state to make investments in education to provide a quality education for our children, attract the best teachers and keep property taxes down. He also discussed the need to provide affordable housing and to enact rent control on corporate landlords.

Mayor Armstead, who has not made an endorsement in the election said, “Sean Spiller will make a great governor.”
