Local Candidates Kirsh & Ring Receive Party Endorsement to Run for Township Council; Join Council President Moench’s Republican ticket

BRIDGEWATER – Local Zoning Board of Adjustment Vice-Chairman Michael Kirsh and
Green Knoll Rescue Squad Deputy Chief Timothy Ring received the support of the Bridgewater
Republican Municipal Committee for the 2019 primary election for two Township Council seats
on Wednesday evening. Kirsh and Ring will run on a united ticket with Council President
Matthew Moench who previously received Party support to run for Mayor.

“It’s truly an honor to receive the Bridgewater Republican Municipal Committee’s endorsement
for Township Council” said Kirsh. “Holding elected office is not a right, it’s a privilege that must
be earned. We are at a crossroads and the next few years will shape the face of Bridgewater for
decades to come. Local government must always live within its means, make tough budget
decisions, and minimize debt– not just in an election year.”

“The opportunity afforded me last evening is not something I take lightly. It means so much to
me to have the support and confidence of my fellow Republicans” said Ring, “As a volunteer
and first responder, public service is part of who I am. I’m proud of my resume and look forward
to sharing my qualifications and ideas with the electorate. As we work toward the June 4th
primary I intend to speak directly with as many residents as I possibly can to hear their stories
and what concerns them most. Let’s get to work.”

Council President and BRMC endorsed candidate for Mayor Matthew Moench was present at the
meeting and released the following statement. “What I saw tonight was a party unified in its
support of candidates that reflect its ideals and represent its values. Together we have built a
ticket that will fight taxes, fight over development and preserve our quality of life. I am excited
to run alongside these two fine upstanding gentlemen with a real history of service to the
community.”

Kirsh lives with his wife Nicole, daughter Phoebe, son Robert, and puppy Lily. He received a
BA from Brown University and MBA from Rutgers University and is a Marketing and Business
Development professional. While living in Green Brook, Michael was a Township
Committeeman and Deputy Mayor. He currently is Vice Chairman of Bridgewater’s Zoning
Board of Adjustment, where he has been a member since 2012.

Ring is a lifelong resident of Bridgewater and graduate of Bridgewater Raritan High School East.
He lives with his wife Terri, daughters Elizabeth and Amanda, and their Golden Retrievers
Janice and Jasper. Tim serves as a Corporate Safety and Security professional and worships at
Blessed Sacrament Church.

The Republican committee sought two candidates after Councilwoman Rose announced she will
not seek party support for re-election. Council president Moench is not running for re-election to
Council, having received party support to run for Mayor.
