Long Time GOP Leader Calls on Ex-Mayor Mosca to Resign
Disgraced Now Ex-Mayor Mosca Unanimously Removed from Post by Township Committee
On Wednesday June 14th, the Rochelle Park Township Committee voted 4-0 to oust radical Township Committee member Perrin Mosca from his mayoral post on the dais. He was also unanimously censured by the bi-partisan township committee. Mosca was removed after attempting to “rescind” a previous vote of the Township Committee by organizing a circus at the last public Township meeting to impose his own personal beliefs on the public and then threatening those who disagreed with him. Mosca has disrespected all citizens of the Township, its local governing body, the position of mayor and the Rochelle Park Republican Party. For that, former Mayor and current Township Republican Chairman Frank Valenzuela says there is only one option.
“Ex-Mayor Mosca has embarrassed the Township and brought its governance to a screeching halt, threatening two decades of progress. As a result, he has neglected his mayoral duties as liaison for multiple township committees/departments and has absences from meetings since the vote of the pride flag had been passed,” Valenzuela stated.
“Rochelle Park Republicans have always governed as common-sense conservatives. When I supported Mosca in 2020, I believed he understood and knew the role he was nominated for and believed in the values of good government, common sense and the best interest for the residents and the township. Unfortunately, he used his position to create a negative atmosphere guided by his personal ideals versus what is best for the residents of Rochelle Park. This culminated in his adventure of attempting to subvert the Pride Flag vote and then threatening the members of the Committee. This is never what I wanted to see in town. It’s time to get back to basics. What we have always stood for is a middle-class conservative agenda that provides good services, promotes businesses, stabilize taxes and property values,” Valenzuela said.
“I will not support Perrin Mosca’s re-election to the Committee. Moreover, he needs to leave office immediately, as he has already been advised as well as to drop off the Republican ticket. If Mosca cares about the future of the town one iota, he will take himself out of contention” Valenzuela concluded.
