LUPE PAC Releases Statement on the Passing of Passaic Councilwoman Zaida Polanco
Passaic, New Jersey-August 8, 2018 – The board members of LUPEPAC are distraught by today’s tragic loss of one of our sisters, Councilwoman Zaida Polanco of the City of Passaic.
Today’s loss of our dear friend Zaida is truly devastating as she was a powerful local leader and a fierce advocate for those in her community, especially Latinas across New Jersey.
We have lost a young and committed public servant much too soon and we hope her family, friends and members of the community she loved so dearly can find peace in this difficult time. They can be comforted by the knowledge that she was loved and admired by all that she encountered. Her tireless advocacy and leadership will serve as an example for generations to come.
May she rest in peace.
