LYING LARRY LIES AGAIN — ATTACKS ON SACCO VOTING RECORD ARE COMPLETELY FALSE

Sen. Sacco Has Proven Himself as One of NJ’s Most Progressive Legislators

NORTH BERGEN, NJ
— The last time he ran for Mayor in 2015, Larry Wainstein’s campaign was so full of half truths and mischaracterizations that he earned the nickname
“Lying Larry Wainstein.” Apparently, this year’s campaign will be no different as Wainstein sent out
a press release yesterday attacking Mayor Nick Sacco’s voting record in the State Senate with several blatantly false statements.
The truth is that Nick Sacco has proven himself again and again to be one of New Jersey’s most progressive state legislators, supporting
Democratic priorities and values throughout his tenure in the State Senate.

“As both a Mayor and a State Senator, Nick Sacco has
prided himself on standing up for Democratic values and fighting for fairness, opportunity and justice for everyone,” said
Sacco Team campaign spokesperson Wendy S. Martinez. “From voting to provide DREAMers with a chance to attend in-state college, to fighting for small businesses to have greater opportunities, to supporting marriage equality, women’s health funding and
equal pay for equal work, to voting for paid family leave and a $15 minimum wage, Nick Sacco’s record speaks for itself. It is disgusting to see Larry Wainstein continue to lie about one of New Jersey’s most progressive and respected elected leaders, and his
brand of mudslinging, filth and lies will never succeed against someone like Mayor Sacco who has earned the respect and trust of his community.”

As a State Senator, Nick Sacco has been a devoted ally of Governor Phil Murphy and has supported the progressive
Governor’s agenda since he was elected in 2017. During his career in the Senate Sacco has also consistently voted for more school funding, protections for victims of domestic violence, expansions of the state’s criminal DNA database, extensions of the Urban
Enterprise Zone program and many, many other progressive priorities.
