Toms River, June 26, 2018 – Tom MacArthur’s campaign today released a new television ad called “Joe & Mirna” that highlights the Congressman’s support for a local family facing the nightmare of deportation.

“Our immigration system is in crisis and it requires a comprehensive, legislative solution that includes, in part, securing our borders, keeping our communities safe, and providing a pathway to citizenship for children who were brought here illegally through no fault of their own,” said Congressman MacArthur.  “We must also do everything in our power to ensure that honest, hardworking people like Joe and Mirna, who have tried to do everything right, are protected from getting swept away in a sea of red tape and bureaucratic incompetence and indifference.”

MacArthur said helping others is why he got involved in public service.

“Helping people like Joe and Mirna, and their family, is why I ran for Congress in the first place,” said Rep. MacArthur.  “I am grateful for this positive outcome and honored to have helped them.”
