MacArthur Endorsed by Far Right Wing Organization Bent on Taking Away Health Care

MARLTON NJ — In another example of Congressman Tom MacArthur’s desire to make health care inaccessible and unaffordable, he has been endorsed by the far right wing Tea Party Express group dedicated to “repealing Obamacare.”

“This is another clear sign that Congressman MacArthur’s interests lie outside this community,” said Kim spokesman Forrest Rilling. “MacArthur stands with an organization that wants to hurt women‘s healthcare, repeal health care for millions of Americans, increase premiums, and supports corporate corruption in government. Again and again MacArthur has put party and corporate interests over New Jersey families.”

Congressman MacArthur has a history of serving corporate special interests, like when he took $400,000 from prescription drug and insurance companies and wrote a health care bill that would raise the cost of premiums, hike the cost of prescription drugs, and gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions. While he wrote the bill, MacArthur invested nearly a million dollars of money in health care companies that stood to benefit from the bill, personally enriching himself at the expense of middle class New Jersey families.
