MAD Global CEO Mike DuHaime Joins Hackensack Meridian Carrier Behavioral Health Board of Trustees

Carrier Clinic® is the largest, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 behavioral health hospital in New Jersey

Montclair, NJ – MAD Global Strategy, a leading bipartisan public affairs firm, is proud to announce that CEO Mike DuHaime was appointed to the Hackensack Meridian Carrier Behavioral Health Board of Trustees.

Carrier Clinic, a renowned nonprofit behavioral healthcare provider in Belle Mead, NJ, specializes in inpatient psychiatric treatment as well as treatment and rehabilitation for substance use disorders.

“Hackensack Meridian Carrier Clinic is grateful to have leaders on our board like Mike DuHaime who share a passion for helping strengthen our communities,” said Kenny Esser, executive vice president, behavioral health, Hackensack Meridian Health. “His unique understanding of healthcare in New Jersey as well as the needs of residents will be invaluable to advancing Carrier Clinic’s mission to expand behavioral health services and enhance the quality of care for patients.”

Hackensack Meridian Health broke ground on Carrier Clinic’s $40 million, 43,000-square-foot modernization project earlier this year. The project will include 52 inpatient rooms for youths, a family resource and support center, innovative treatment models such as multi-sensory rooms, and an academic teaching center and medical staff suite to expand the capacity to teach physicians and other mental health professionals. The enhancement will allow Carrier Clinic to help even more young people by lowering the age of patients it serves to 7 from the current minimum of 12.

“I’m honored to join the Board of Trustees, and I look forward to collaborating with this world-class team to expand the impact and reach of their behavioral health services,” said Mike DuHaime, Founder and CEO, MAD Global. “The care Carrier Clinic provides is vital to those facing mental health and addiction challenges, and I’m inspired by Hackensack Meridian Health’s commitment to saving and transforming the lives of so many patients and their families.”

In addition to DuHaime’s role at MAD Global, he serves on the Board of Trustees at Rutgers University and president of the non-profit Cranford Hockey Club.
