Major Republican Candidates for Governor to Attend Pinelands Candidate Forum
SHAMONG, NJ – The Pinelands Republican Club will host all major Republican candidates for Governor at an upcoming Candidate Forum and Straw Poll on January 29th, 2025, to be attended by the Club’s full membership of over 300. The Forum is confirmed to be attended by 101.5 host Bill Spadea, former Senator Ed Durr, Senator Jon Bramnick, Mr. Robert Canfield, and former Mayor Jim Fazzone. Other candidates have been invited and are awaiting final confirmation. Each candidate will be given the opportunity to answer questions written by the Club’s members and make their case for why they deserve to be New Jersey’s next Governor.
The Pinelands Republican Club is proud that it will become the first major Republican organization to award its official endorsement based on a popular vote of regular members, and not the will of a handful of party bosses. In this spirit, following the conclusion of candidate remarks, all members of the Pinelands Republican Club in good standing will be invited to vote in a straw poll indicating which candidate they prefer. The results of this straw poll will unilaterally dictate which candidate the Club endorses and works on behalf of in the upcoming Primary.
Remarking on the upcoming event, President Heather McGarvey said, “This is about finding the best candidate for all of New Jersey. The people of the Pinelands refuse to be forgotten and will finally have their concerns addressed by our state’s next Governor.”
The event will be hosted at Carla’s Classic Cars at 447 Oakshade Rd. in Shamong Township, and will begin at 6:30 PM. While voting is reserved for Pinelands Republican Club members in good standing, this event is open to the public.
