Malinowski Advances Economic Development Agenda in Phillipsburg

(Phillipsburg, NJ) Friday, Sept. 7 Tom Malinowski will campaign in Phillipsburg to advance his economic development agenda for rural and transitioning economies in the western half of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.

“We live in an economically diverse district spanning urban, suburban, and rural areas, where a one size fits all approach to economic development doesn’t make sense,” said Malinowski. “The City of Phillipsburg and surrounding areas have prioritized economic redevelopment initiatives and I am committed to being their partner in Congress. Federal grants and tax incentives for new industries and redevelopment projects are critical to revitalizing these transitioning economies.”

Malinowski will begin the day co-hosting a breakfast round table with Phillipsburg Mayor Steve Ellis for area small business owners, local developers, investors, and city planners to discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by local development efforts.

The campaign will spend the remainder of the day touring local redevelopment projects that focus on main street revitalization, new industries, and local investment initiatives.

“No part of our district should be left behind, and I want to be ready on day 1 to fight for Warren County, said Malinowski.”
