Malinowski Wins Funding to Support Lyme Disease

Prevention and Treatment

(Washington, DC) Today the House passed a bipartisan amendment co-sponsored by Representatives Malinowski, Delgado, Stefanik, and Welch to support the prevention and treatment of Lyme Disease. Incidents of Lyme Disease in New Jersey are at a two decade high with Morris and Hunterdon Counties ranked first and second respectively.

This funding comes as a new invasive tick species has taken root in Hunterdon County in just the last year.

“I’m proud to be able to devote resources to a disease that disproportionately impacts my constituents. Our district has some of the most beautiful forested and natural spaces in New Jersey and people should be free to enjoy them without an increased risk of Lyme Disease,” said Congressman Malinowski.
