Mandelblatt and Gunderman call out Bramnick and Munoz for their ‘abysmal records on women’s health and family planning’
Mandelblatt and Gunderman call out Bramnick and Munoz for their abysmal records on women’s health and family planning
Berkeley Heights, NJ – In light of Planned Parenthood being forced out of the Title X federal family planning program by the “Domestic Gag Rule”, which will cost New Jersey $9 million in federal family planning funding, LD21 voters should know that their Assemblymembers Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz have repeatedly voted against funding for critical women’s health and family planning services including cancer screenings, pre-natal care, mammograms, and birth control. Bramnick has voted against women’s health and family planning funding 9 times and abstained 4 times. Nancy Munoz has voted against women’s health and family planning funding 8 times and abstained 6 times.
Democratic candidates Lisa Mandelblatt and Stacey Gunderman issued the following joint statement on their votes.
“With radical anti-choice zealots implementing anti-women policies at the federal level, it’s more important than ever to have representatives in Trenton who will stand with Planned Parenthood and other women’s health and family planning service providers in New Jersey. Unfortunately, we can’t count on Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz to do that. Time and again they stood with Chris Christie and supported his plans to gut family planning services. It’s time for new voices in Trenton who will stand with the women of our district and our state.”
Jon Bramnick and Nancy Munoz’s women’s health and family planning votes are listed below. According to Project VoteSmart, both received 100% ratings from New Jersey Right to Life and 0% ratings from Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey.
